- How did you hear about the Opera-Rock Show?
- I think the first time was from the promoters, I think they already were asking me to perform there a few years ago. The other thing is that I am very well aware of the opera festival itself. I have already been performing in an opera festival here in Finland, at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, and I was also studying in Germany, so I was interested to check around what is happening Europe in the opera world. So yeah, I was very aware of it. But this rock kind kind of concerts that the opera festival have started to do a few years ago, that I only happened to know about it when the promoters got in touch with me.
- Did you see or hear the two releases that were made of the two previous concerts?
- I have not seen them yet, I am not very familiar with their music, but I know that they were made.
- Did you have time to have a glimpse at the fanvideos?
- Not yet, to be honest (laughs). I am starting to do that, but I am still in the recording process, but I am aware that there have been many people doing these videos, so I need to get into that very soon.
- Can you tell me how the process is going for Miskolc, did you choose the songs already?
- Kind of, I am on it, there are some classical pieces that I am hesitating about, but I am more or less done with the program.
- You have been givinging many concerts with orchestras before, I think last time at Moscow during your Christmas tour. Did you have any similiar concerts with both metal and classical musicians on the same stage?
- I have been doing many different concerts, many kinds of events with the orchestra, with the choir, with the band, but in this way it never really happened before. It is kind of the first time ever, combining the things from my album, from my future album, the classical songs... I am very happy to do that in Hungary, because it is my own concert, just the elements coming alive from my album, it is fantastic to perform those songs for the first time completely live and see how they really sound.
- Do you prepare differently for an orchestral show than for a normal one?
- For sure, I am singing some classical pieces too, so I have to be much more concerned about my technique, my voice, the concentration to be different, to be ready how the program developes during the concert. The production is also very different, how we are going to manage the band members, are they gonna be in between the orchestra, or in the middle of the orchestra, how good they feel about it, we need to to do soundcheck properly... There are may people involved in the orchestra and choir, so it is not that easy. We need to get everything arranged, plan the show carefully, so that is why we are going there a few days earlier to rehearse and so on.
- Can you tell me what was the first song that you ever wrote yourself?
- Oh, well, the first one that was released... I have been writing songs before, but it was Oasis on my first album, and in the next album you are going to hear a few more... (laughs) It is exciting to see how people will react to the album, because my signature is on the album.
- You have been doing quite some collaborations with other artists, and it was a wonderful surprise to hear Tired of being alone from Schiller on your Final Storm tour. Have there ever been plans for you to appear on a Schiller dvd? Cause he records those quite frequently with guest musicians.
- Yes, to be honest, we have been actually talking about it with Christopher... I guess you will probably hear that very soon. (laughs) I have some kind of news.
- After some of your concerts there was a remix version of the Reign played, how did that thing happen?
- Yes, yes, there have been many crazy people making remixes of my music, and there were these two guys from Egypt, they did the remix and sent it to me asking how do I like it, and I just loved it! I got so much involved that I even re-recorded my vocals again just for their remix. So I recorded the song in a living room corner, AaaaAA, singing the song with the tempo and with the remix in my headphones, so that I could do it right. The thing is that the tempo was so much faster in the remix version that my vocals sounded like EeEeEeEe (notes of interviewer: here she made a kind of dying chipmunk-like sound which is quite hard to give back in typing), so I said that I can not listen it like this, I need to record the vocals again! (laughs) It was fun.
- So how is your relationship with electronic music?
- I like it, you know I have been a girl... I like dancing, before I broke my knees I was really taking dancing lessons and I was even dancing in some dancing competitions. Not electronic music, though. I do not listen to it very much, but chillout is something I like to listen in the evenings or when I go to sleep in a tourbus. It is the same sort of things that happen with soundtracks, I like to listen film music a lot just to relax, be quiet, instead of having metal all the time around me. It was nice to be involved, many people listen music differently, everyone of us hears music differently, and it is nice sometimes to see how people hear your music and what kind of versions can they come up with.
- My final question: do you have anything special to say for the Hungarian fans?
- Sure, yes! So, I really miss my Hungarian fans, it has always been a pleasure to come back. I only have good memories of this beautiful country and I just wish I could be there more, you know. (laughs) I was in Hungary for the first time when I was 14 years old, singing in a choir as a choir solist. It was the first time ever I was away from my family! We were staying in Budapest, it was a really-really beautiful experience already and I have been always willing to return. Ihave been there with my own shows too and now I am really looking forward to this opera festival. It is really a unique event, I love to be part of it! So, I love you very much and I hope to see you very-very soon!
